Does anyone have any recommendations, and also how much does track cover typically add to a policy?

I know there is a sticky at the top of this forum section but it does identify which ones add track cover.

Obviously going through them one by one and ringing them up is taking time.

Phone Henderson Taylor and tell them you need track cover in your policy. They have a few with track days included.

Another alternative is to contact Pace Ward who will provide track cover as and when you need it for very competitive rates so long as you are a policy holder with them.

I think Henderson Taylor include 5 track days per year in their insurance, also vey competitive on their premiums and straight forward to deal with.

I have it thrown in free with Locktons, they also gave a years' PCGB membership, pretty affordable with an agreed value smile

I'm with Locktons too - c. £800 including ADTO track days on a 997.2 T4S. For comparison I was with Direct Line before at £450. So to answer your question the TD cover aded £350. Manning came in very close.

Cheers everyone.

I've been quoted £169 by Morris for a day at Oulton Park, tomorrow I'll ring a round the main policy dealers and see if its worth getting a more expensive road policy.

It sounds like you're going through what I went through a few months ago. An all in one policy seems expensive, but as you can see, you only have to do 2-3 TDs to get your money back. And Locktons and Mannings offer other benefits on your road policy too such as getting it repaired by Porsche! I remember being so annoyed when someone ran into my BMW and my then insurer told me BMW weren't approved (by them) to repair it! This, against the background that their approved repairer quoted £1800 and BMW £1500! It's all such a scam! I hope you're never in this position of course, but they do arise and the extra premium might save you from this kind of madness.

Another shout for Lockton here. They cover unlimited ATDO track days and things like TSE.

I got a quote here after another recommendation from a PH'er. The Aviva policy doesn't offer agreed value which was important to me.

To put some perspective to this, my policy through Pace Ward enables me to arrange track day cover for somewhere in the region of £70. It would be relatively pointless stating my insurance premium unless your circumstances are similar to mine, but surfice to say it is very competitive.

First of all thank you for all your input, err however all of these providers were as much use as a chocolate tea pot to me.

Out of the 10 (including the ones recommended above) I rang 8 refused to quote me full stop, on the basis of my postcode (rated C) and my mileage (and one over my age).

Pace Ward were excellent but still highly uncompetitive, and Mannings were even worse.

So I'll go back to what I have been doing all along and use a regular high street policy with Morris track insurance as and when.

Cheers all.

If it's not a rude question - how old are you and where do you live??

Surprised Manning can't offer you a competitive quote.

Merseyside, been driving 10 years, 8 years NCB, no points, no accidents etc.

Mannings was about £2400. My regular road policy with no trimmings is £700, admittedly if I put in a previous post code out in the countryside it drops to half that! frown

I remember what steered me to the Porsche, instead of paying £700 I'd need to pay almost £2k for a BMW M3 or M5 worth similar value.

Anyone get Nordschleife track day cover with their policy? Had a great quote myself for a 991 GT3 from Henderson Taylor except they can't cover trackdays on the Nurburgring - which I am needing at the end of this month for DN13

Mannings will Terry, but there's a sting: £500/day for a car worth over £100K for any European ATDO trackdays furious
