997 Multifunction or Sports Design Steering Wheel
Discussion
I've just got my 997 back from my local OPC (which is a long drawn out saga which I may write another post on when I can summon the energy) and there is a deep scratch 3-4 inches long on the plastic part of the multifunction steering wheel.
The OPC have offered to replace this with a new Sports Design wheel plus the multifunction stalk.
I only tend to use the volume and phone buttons on the current wheel, therefore probably don't get the most out of it although the other half has mentioned that she wish she had the MF rather than the SD on her 981.
I just wondered if anyone has any experience using the stalk and is it easy to use or a bit of pain?

So I've opted to upgrade to the sports design wheel however, the OPC has told me that the mode lights (sport, sport plus, launch control) will not work on the spokes.
My current multifunction wheel is the newer style with the PDK light strip on top so I was wondering if this is information is correct?
Does anyone know if you can upgrade from the newer style MF wheel to the SD wheel and still have the spokes light up?

The sport, sport plus and launch control lights have always worked on every retrofit sport design wheel I ve had fitted
I ve never had the additional stalk fitted, which I think is an error in the tequipment brochure, and is only needed on. 991 retrofit if the car had a MFSW previously
