Not a big lover of the 996 but do like the 4S and this seems a well priced example. Could these maybe go up in value, or is it just piggy-backing off the back of everything else today?

£30K ? For a pre facelift 996?

Okay so it is better speccd than mine (I hear that embossed seats make the car at least a second quicker to 100) and it has 30,000 less miles but every mile you put on it will cost a fortune as that is the one and only justification for the price.

If you aren't going to drive it and just want an investment then I feel sorry for the thing.

It's a weekend high sunny days car, If the condition, service history matches the mileage it's a fair enough starting price IMO.

That's the third "modern classic " opc Cardiff have had recently. The others were a 924 and a pre facelift 996 C2. Both circa 18k.

Obviously no more cheap entry into 911 ownership, now all the early stuff has gone the way of house prices, like the turbo 996 that is going out of reach the 4s is still just affordable but will go the same way for low mileage well spec cars!!!

I don't think that's too bad.

If someone really likes 996s and wants one as a long-term usable/collectable, then it's probably not a bad buy.

Mileage is a major factor in pricing and values.
