They look like the engine side of the firewall? Judging by th large grommet...997 ecu sits on the rear deck.

The only one that looks familiar is the two pin, this may be for the switch that operates the switchable exhaust vacuum control thing?

I seem to recall seeing something very similar to that in my 996 GT3 the other week...It was just a plug with a blanking cover under the rear shelf...surprised me because I hadn't seen it before and I was wondering what it should be attached to...

Just a guess: License plate light and parking sensors?

Edit: Sorry forget it, those are not connected to ecu of course....

Only thing I found with matching colours are knock sensor and tank vent valve, but not the correct pins and likely on different cables I guess....

Another silly question for you... Does the car have 1 or 2 fuel tanks ??

One tank. Saddle bag type so maybe two senders? I remember on the 996 if you half filled the gauge wouldn't move so perhaps they fixed that on the 997?

Hi Clive,

Fantastic skill set you have! Been following this thread and am very impressed with what you are creating.

As for the wiring I can look tomorrow when I am in work but off the top of my head that grommet goes through the tunnel and may possibly be the reverse light switch connection and gearbox connection for the cooler switch mounted on gearbox oil pump...?

Yes the drawings I have show dual senders and dual pumps.
PS Thanks for the kind words :-)
