Why? However it pans out, her dad will still be dead. Anyway, the car was street legal, but the manner in which it was driven surely caused the fatalities? But, sure, let's blame the manufacturer, they've got more money! I hope this case goes nowhere because the only winners are parasitic lawyers.

Bit harsh my friend, good to test to see if porsche stand up and can defend itself, oh and fyi you don't need to defend porsche, most profitable car company ? Maybe not after vwWhy? I will be going to a funeral in a couple of weeks. Its for my cousin. A plane fell on his head. It was in the papers until they got bored. He was just driving home.
happens sadly and this is especially true when your Dad is a passenger in a car driven too fast.
She isn't grieving. She is a money grabbing nobody with as much class as the guy on here who pretended to live in a big house in...Wales.

Porsche shouldn't have to defend themselves, driver was being a nob, end of.
Not wanting to get into a debate on this but I had a read of the news item, it looks as if the legal angle is that the seat belt design was possibly flawed, which resulted in additional injuries to the passenger that imobilised them after the accident, this resulted in them not being able to get out the car following the impact?
If read in context with the coroners report on the passenger, it was a terrible way to go.
Does the CGT have pre tensioners on the belts, that would trigger on a side impact?

This was an awful tragedy but it was an accident that wasn't the fault of the car, but the way it was being driven and had been maintained.
In the response from Porsche it states that the tyres where nine years old?!? Wow I wouldn't drive a shopping trolley on tyres that old, let alone something like a Carrera GT. Wow. Didn't Porsche release a newer tyre for the GT that sweetened the handling?
If your tyres are duff then no amount of skill or tech on the car will save you from a smash.
