I need 4 new tyres on my 03 996 C2 Cab and I have been quoted £674+ VAT to have Michelins or £590+ VAT to have Pirelli's (N rated of course!).

Has any body got any experience of Pirelli tyres?

It is worth bearing in mind that whilst I drive fast I don't ever track the car, so I'm not looking for that last ounce of grip.

I use nothing else but Pirellis, at present I'm on PZero Corsa N6s, very good on the track, can be a handful in the wet, but what the hell!

Reports of the Michelin PS2s are that they are very noisy, can someone confirm this?

As long as you go with the N-rated tyres you'll be fine.

Seems rather expensive! What size tyres are they? Have you looked on www.mytyres.co.uk ?

Not a fan of Michelin PS - dry weather grip not as good as Pirelli PZero on a 996. However, no idea what the wet weather grip is like on the Pirellis.

Edited to add: I don't recall the Michelins being especially noisy, or there being much difference between the two.

I'm on my 2nd set of P-Zero's on my 996 C2 Coupé, and love them.
Price for four from Micheldever Tyres was just over £500 from memory...

Just fitted 4 Pirreli P zero Rosso N4's to mine.

Must say they are a big improvement over the last 4.

This maybe because they were mixed N on fronts not on back etc.

Havnt tested them in the wet yet they are not supposed to be as good. I will see

I had p-zeros on mine, as said they are great in the dry and twitchy in the wet.

Just switched to Conti Sport Contact 2 and they seem a better all round tyre.
