OPC pricing (used 997.2 and 991) - advice needed

Having sold up my 993, I am now in the market for a new 911. Cash buyer and no p/ex. I am prepared to throw money at the car to secure the OPC 2 year warranty. I don't see a material price difference between the good/reputable independent Porsche dealers and the OPCs (but this is probably a subject for a different thread - because those independents need to drop prices if they are going to shift product). I am also in no hurry to buy and will happily wait 3-6 months to secure the right car. I intend to keep the car and use it as a DD for years. Budget is £45k-£65k - a very wide spread. I am looking at a 997.2 4S/GTS or 991S. I have driven both and love both so ultimately choice is going to boil down to how much of a good competitive price I can achieve. So biggest reduction achievable from OPC and depreciation factors will weigh heavy. My problem is these OPC dealers do appear operate to keep prices "artificially" high. There are many more experienced PH'ers than me that have disparate views...but I want my cake. There are 16 997.2 4S cars and 53 991S currently on the OPC used website. Some have been sitting there for months and months. Prices go down then go back up. The 991 S pricing trend is more straightforward - a slow downward pull. I just smell a little weakness here, that this cartelised pricing model won't hold especially with 991.2's coming out in 4 months. So do I sit on my cash and wait..? Or do I start making some offers for 15% plus off? What are your experiences/views? thanks.
I've made a low ball offer on a 991 , the craic from the dealer is that the last of the na cars will go quickly to folk not interested in the new model , the fact that the stock car has been there in excess of 4 months would seem to indicate that is not the case.
I'm quite happy to wait , if I buy one I'll be happy enough , if I don't I'll still be happy , I'm certainly not wetting my knickers over a Porsche , I've had one before and one thing Porsche salesmen cannot understand for me it's not an emotional purchase it's more about pounds shillings and pence.

To either hope for or expect a good discount on a 991 just because it has been in stock for 4 months will I fear leave you waiting in vain- these are high end cars not fruit and veg in Tesco.
Many garages selling expensive cars have them a long time waiting for a buyer but you don't see them drop the price- if they did I'd be putting in a low ball offer for a Zonda tomorrow.
On the OPC car locator they currently have fourteen 991 GTS in the UK for sale- which is peanuts....try searching for a BMW M3 or similar and there are so many you'd be all day just reading the ads....
A while back an OPC had a lovely high spec 991 GTS coupe up for 102k- I offered £95k confident I'd get it and the salesman phoned me back an hour or two later to say he had just sold it to someone else for 97k!

Bought a pre reg 997.2 C2 with 13 miles on the clock for the equivalent of list less 23 % ,
They accepted the offer , they've done it once they may or may not do it again.
No px / finance needed deal.
