Cobra/Vodafone Tracker

Rang Vodafone, formerly Cobra UK this morning to arrange the cover on my GT3 to be transferred to the new owner, who is hopefully collecting the car next week. I purchased two years cover with an additional free, third year still remaining. The very helpful lady has told me that the years cover that is left is not transferable and the new owner will have to start and pay for a new policy. As we all know these cars are not insurable without the tracker switched on and live.

I must admit that I thought the cover stayed with the car not the owner. How frustrating and I think a bit of a con.
