It looks a nice package, typical Porsche predictable spec. for the GTS...

I've owned a Macan S petrol for just on a year, I ordered it with a good spec. (about £8K worth of additions) Including PSE, full leather, Sports Chrono, PCM and all the rest of the goodies...

Its a great daily drive the Macan S and this petrol version with the PSE sounds just like that video clip...

I was at OPC Guildford the other day having some work done on my car, and got chatting to one of the mechanics. He said the Macan is basically a 911 on steroids.

Actually I think its a Q5 ;-)

I've a Turbo at the moment as my daily driver . Great car for that purpose .

Think I'll order one of these for next spring. 40bhp down but I like Alcantara trim !

I've just been sitting in a Diesel S and it's nothing like our Q5 inside, very nice place to sit I thought? Pretty well specced car and only £3k more than I paid for my CS. Shame they take an age to build them!

Something like 80% of the parts are different. It's basic platform sharing, except the Q5 floorplan is extensively re-worked by Porsche. The Diesel engine is an Audi 3.0 V6, but reworked by Porsche (they've been doing this a while - original RS2..??). The gearbox, brakes, steering, dampers are all Porsche. Basically it's a far more bespoke vehicle than the SQ5, it's nearest rival, and only costs about £2-3k more when built to a similar spec (or at least that was the case when I ordered mine).

The GTS is pretty good value, as it's the same spec (incl wheels) that we went with. Sure, it's about £10k more base price, but then the extras cost about £10k on our Diesel S, so we're in the same ballpark.

I've just spec'd one up to £69k with Air, GTS interior pack, Carbon, Nav, Bose etc etc etc. A little tempted to swap my 2011 Cayenne for one but will probably wait till all new Cayenne in 2017. Hoping the new Cayenne has PDK and bit more power from the entry-level diesel. £70k also buys a facelift V8 diesel Cayenne - which is an awesome engine!

Looked at the Macan, but couldn't wait for 18 months (as quoted). Went for an X3 35d which is a bit of an animal (and it was £39.5k)!

The only thing stopping me pulling the trigger on a GTS is my current turbo is a great piece of kit and pretty good value @ £65k with arguably a more special base engine . Dry sump-ed 3.6 TT. I'm specc-ing a GTS to about £61k for a similar spec car . I do like the look of the GTS trim though .

I wouldn't look at anything below the Turbo. Why buy a Porsche with a pretty boggo Audi engine? If you're dropping 70k or so on a shopping car, at least get a proper engine for the money!

I think the macan in any form is a much prettier car than all of its rivals.
