Register with dealers, pay a premium, oooh lucky me if you get one and then flip it...
WHAT is the point of making an amazing car that people can just about afford if they save up/finance for 65k which people then sell for 110k
they MUST know this happens, even the dealers are in on the act...The Porsche philosophy is skewed as you can't actually buy the very cats that were made for the pursuits.

The car needs no wings and crap , that is the entire point of the car . This is NOT a gt3 without wings( although that is not completely the finished article) . Unlike the GT3 this car is predominantly a driving experience car , designed to excel on the road and be capable on track . It is designed with "fun" in mind rather than grip and lap times . It has narrow tyres , no RWS , no Torque vectoring , is only available in manual , will be lighter with bespoke interior bits , specific suspension "tuning" and some exterior carbo panelling . The engine will be retuned from the gt3 unit . It is like the sport classic turned up to 11 .
The downside is under 20 cars for UK ( not even 1 for each 918 buyer ) , a massive premium in price and not a lot else .

Just can't see why they'd effectively build a 911 type equivalent which people have also been asking for, then produce a tiny number.

This is a limited edition , low volume special built in part to commemorate the 911R and take the mantle from the sport classic . As a result it carries a "huge" premium over even the RS

When will Porsche learn , spoke to my local dealer and he is at wits end with depositors and no more RS models ....... now it starts again same story boring , a mate who owns some of best Pork I know of has given up an ordered a 675 ...but looks fun although I prefer the other 991 R which just came third to the VLN last weekend
