Cayman S or Carrera?
Discussion
Are you sure you have your prices right?
If you want to pay 2 year old Carrera money for a 981 Cayman S then please buy mine immediately!!
I chose a 5k mile 11 month old 981 Cayman S when I had gone to a Porsche Centre to look at a 4 year old 997.2 Carrera S that had done 20k miles although that was 18 months ago. The Cayman was cheaper too.
Both cars have their pros and cons - depends how/where/how often you want to use it and how much luggage space you need.
Cayman feels more nimble and "sporty" but a 911 is a 911.
No right or wrong answer, choose what you like best.
Good luck with the hunt.

Yeah around 10k difference. So surely Cayman is the way to go no?
I think so. A Cayman with manual gears, buckets and PTV makes an awesome drivers car. Perfect on the road and more than capable of delivering a fun track day (forgiving if you are learning the ropes as well). I bought mine after a string of 911's (including a '6.2 GT3, a 997 GTS and a Turbo S) and enjoyed every mile I drove in it. Go for it - you won't be disappointed.
