Just finished installing these, only took 30 mins to replace all interior bulbs and rear number plate bulbs. Far better looking IMO than the old style, anybody out there done the same?
Had a search on You tube for a how to do video which there are some good ones and £20 for the new led's. Happy Days

Yep, did the same. Well worth it. Also the under the front bonnet light too.

Those original w5w door ones get really hot to the touch so be careful not to touch them while the doors open whilst changing.

A lot less drain on the battery if you have the doors open cleaning inside or whatever.

Yes did that and the engine bay so you can actually see the thing, cheap upgrade the cluster of lights above the mirror was the only fiddly bit just need to be carful not to break the plastic.

Hi Pete - yes I did the same on my 997 GTS (as well as my old 997 turbo) as you said just the dome lights you have to be very careful not to snap the tabs on the plastic housing. There is a great install video on youtube from USP Motorsport I watched about 14 million times just to make sure I did it right. It was also for me, invaluable to buy a set of those plastic tools to help. I found the footwell lights a bit fiddly this time. Agree it looks so much better.

I did my 996 a couple of years ago and I think it really brightens up the interior. I even did the vanity mirror too.

I did my 987 too, a mixture of Osram and Kolite LED's they make a huge difference to interior, OPC had some concerns when it came to the warranty renewal...now there's a surprise.
