ATE super blue???
Discussion
I have been using this for some time but it seems to have now been discontinued as US federal law states that Brake fluid must be clear or amber. It has now been replaced with ATE TYP 200 I believe, which is clear.
Question is, can this be mixed with the Racing Blue? Reason is I want to fit a LWFW next week and don't want the extra hassle of replacing all the fluid as it was only changed about 200miles ago. I will only need a small top-up for the clutch only.

I read the spec and it all matches. I've ordered some now so will just top up and mix, can't see the big deal as it even mentions that it can be mix with other DOT 4 fluids.
Many thanks
I think you can still get ATE SuperBlue from Eurocarparts. That's where I got it from last time. You can mix any fluid together as long as is of the same type ie not with DOT5 silicone based, but ok with DOT 3, 5.1, 4 etc. Of course, you will compromise the properties/specification of the fluid as you would when mixing oil. Many thanks
