Hi, about a year ago I put some money down for a Macan S. As it turns out life being what it is I dont necessarily need a 4 door car now so can enjoy my CS a bit longer or thinking about a used 911! Was wondering if I could transfer my reservation slot to a friend?

Or perhaps if I can buy the car and flip it (although there do seem to be many more second hand macans on the market now)>

Any thoughts welcomed...

You can't transfer a build slot. Fliping it opens you up to market forces and market prices, you will get what the market pays which is unpredictable, you could loose as while there is some waiting time for a new Macan few prospective owners would be willing to pay overs for a car already registered in anothers name, and as I said the OPC will only supply and register in your name.

If it was me - I'd just speak to the dealer say you don't want the car , but that you know someone that does and this way it makes it really easy for them to re sell the car ?

Last I heard was they were making overs or at least list price, suppose it depends on spec and when it's due.

Don't see why you can't 'sell' your build slot.

If the build date is fairly close, it may well appeal to someone who wants a Macan a bit sooner. Don't think you'd get a lot - say £1000 max? (plus your deposit) - but you then tell the dealer a friend is taking over your order and they'll just change the name. Hardly affects them.
