Alternative oils
Discussion
Going to be getting a few bits done on my Spyder before she goes back on the road in the spring. One of those is an oil change amongst other things. I have heard so many good things about motul but wondered if anyone on here was running the 8100 which I think is most suited for the newer cars.
It's not going to stay in for anywhere like 2 years. The car had its first change at 9k odd and the second oil change at 11k. I will be doing this one at 17k and only expect to do 3k next year.
Be good to get some feedback from those who are using anything other than M1 which I have read is only a group 3 synthetic oil iirc.
Also is stock brake fluid best? Was contemplating a GT3 MC swap at the same time to remove the half inch / inch of dead travel at the top of the pedal. Not going to bother changing lines at this stage. Just want a progressive feel from right at the top. Braking performance is more than adequate for the road and didn't have any problems on the ring earlier this year either.
Many thanks.
