Anyone retrofitted AUX port in 997 gen 1?

Hi all,
Id like to play music through my iPhone when driving. I've tried 2 FM transmitters but neither are great and coverage is poor when driving on the moors, which is one of my usual places to take the car.

My daily driver (a 2007 3 series) has an AUX port where I simply plug my phone into; something like this would be perfect in the Porsche.

Has anyone retrofitted this or has any other ideas on what I could do? What's the best way of retrofitting? Revolution Porsche near Leeds has quoted £400 which I think is a bit expensive. Wouldn't mind paying £200-250 if this is possible?

Dension is a neater solution, as it will work with the steering wheel controls, and display track information on the PCM screen. The one I fitted to my E61 has USB, aux and iPod connections. Dension also allows the factory CD changer to be retained in situ.
I was seriously considering fitting one to my 987, until I realised that I don't often listen to music in that car. Also, I'd still be stuck with the stupidly complex PCM and Bose setup.

Asked about getting this done at an OPC and their answer was 'not possible'. I suspect this is 'not possible for a realistic price' but before asking most of the threads I followed suggested the type of solution above.

I had one of Parrot's hands free bluetooth kits fitted in my gen1 GT3 a few years back, and it worked very well on the whole. Just need to make sure you replace the small battery in the control unit regularly.

Not sure what setup your car has but fitting an Aux to a Becker is simple enough, you disconnect the blue (IIRC) connector from the rear of the unit (that takes the CD changer) and fit a new cable which you must route to a convenient place. Cables cheap, Ebay or the like.

Your CD changer won't work afterwards in fact disconnect it completely.
