I have just collected my 996 GT3RS from being detailed by Kelly Harris and his team at KDS Keltec. I am just blown away by their attention to detail. The car was not too shabby before it went there but the transformation is incredible. Hope you don't object to a few indulgent pictures:

Lovely lovely lovey. Your timing is perfect, I've been thinking about these no stop of late, really tempted to consolidate a couple of cars for one.

Enjoy thumbup

Thank you for the kind remarks. I have owned the car from new (Nov 2003) and it has covered 14,500 miles. In its early years it saw quite a lot of track days along with Steve Rance, Glenn McMenamin and others. As values rose inevitably the track use became less. I have put the brakes back to standard (were floating Alcons) and the suspension set up is going back to factory settings.

The car has never had any accidents and KDS were complimentary about the overall condition of paint etc when I attended the handover meeting (me to them) a week ago.

I do intend to use it on the road but I will enjoy it as a perfect museum piece for a couple of months.

KDS Keltec are based in Gillingham in Kent. Kelly Harris is the owner of the business and he has about 6 guys who work for him. I found the whole experience very professional.

The car has had the Gold Paint Correction treatment (there are two levels higher if you want!!). I also had the Gtechniq protection package.

The wheels were taken off and wheel arches etc were treated. The only major repair was that the wing mirrors had become dull and the black painted insides had started to peel. They have been completely remanufactured to a better than factory finish. I also had the front splitter removed so that I can put a new one on. KDS have their own paint spray bake booth. Any wheel work is dealt with at Lepsons on the same estate.

They don't remove lights etc but the standards they achieve are quite exceptional. They will remove lights if you go to the next level. My detail included the inside, engine bay, wheel arches, door shuts etc.

It didn't get dirty on the way home because it came home in a covered trailer!

Wow, that is one mint car.

If it was mine, I would not be driving it in the winter either...

Fantastic!

You know there's been a lot of GT models from Porsche since this, and I know right now we're all drooling over the 991 RS and GT4, but when one of these pops up, especially one as clean as yours OP, it reminds me just what a superb looking (and I'm sure driving) car they are.

And KDS's level of work is incredible, I've seen their stuff for a while on Detailing World etc - they are one if the best in the industry.

A lovely example H. So glad that you hung on to it. I still believe that it's the best water cooled 911 built so far. There will be faster cars but none will involve and reward a driver like a 6RS

+1 totally agree

OP, that's a lovely example. KDS also worked on my 6RS some 2-3 years ago. The GTechniq coating on it is as fresh as day 1....and cleans so easily.

That looks amazing, KDS do a good job don't they. I was down at Lepsoms on Friday afternoon picking up the wife's car after having the wheels refurbed and nearly popped in to see Kelly but I was a bit short on time, pity I would have liked to have seen the 996 RS in the flesh. they did my 997 GT3 and made a great job of it.

Car looks great, special times back in the day when we would have rows of them turn up.
Nice to see a few of the original enthusiastic owners still have them.
