Has anyone had any dealings with this company?

I am thinking of buying one of their cars...... this one - http://911rennsport.co.uk/for-sale/slate-grey-911s...

Before I take things with them any further, can anyone shed any light on them?

They look ok but it's not a cheap Singer, more like an expensive 3.2 with a few bits chucked on it.

not a fan of back dates, it's now a nothing car.

it's a £85k 1982 3.0 litre SC , not a lot more you can say, I would rather have an org my self.

A nice org 911E or a 964 would be the better buy imo.

I think they are quite a good company, although no personal experience.

But agree with the sentiment about 'backdates' - much prefer 'originality'.

Not selling the GT3 but this LOOKS very nice, I am just not sure about whats underneath the paint....
It's funny you say its not a cheap Singer because thats what I was aiming for! My fear is like you say, its an expensive 3.2 bitza.

I have been having dreams about the Singer 911's ever since they came out and I know they will never be affordable (for me), I guess I am looking for the next best thing....

The problem with 'original' cars is current sellers want the moon on a stick for a rust-bucket!

A 'backdate' can also be a can of worms - mechanically and bodily. To me they're bitzas - someone else's interpretation of a Porsche model.

Cheers for that, quite eye opening!

Its the second thread I have read on them and their cars and it does seem like the 'restoration' is not as thorough as one would expect given the prices they are asking.

I'll give them a miss I reckon
