Porsche Cayenne MPG Query
Discussion
Hi
I have had my Cayenne 3.2 2005 - 40k miles for about 8 months now and not taken much on a long drive.
usually i get 15.2 mpg London town driving. and mainly short journeys
last week on a long motorway journey about 80-85mph, i got 18.6mpg
How does that compare with yours?
ALSO is there any difference on a Cayenne S? As i feel maybe i should have got the S?!
Cheers guys!

The current (2010>) Diesels will do c.35mpg in normal use. In fact, it's hard to get less than 30mpg. Tyre life is also excellent - c.30k per set. All with excellent performance, handling, and residuals. Be interesting to see what advances the Gen 3 model brings.
Let's hope its a PDK gearbox because the changes in the 8-speed around town aint exactly smoothZingari said:

I was under the impression PDK's don't work so well for auto offroading which is why they stick with the torque converter. I found the box smooth but a bit dated when pulling away etc, same for Panamera diesel.
Thanks guys. So sounds like I'm on par the. At 16mpg in and around London. Just making sure. However I do have some regrets as someone said earlier. Should have got an S !
I love the car though. Sounds lovely and a good drive. People are surprised to see me pushing one of three. Guess I'm relatively young at 30 years old. Lol.
Cheers.
