Looks like the 911R wont be the only reveal at Geneva

Wonder if there's any truth behind this. Apollo could maybe divulged?

Doubt Apollo could divulge anything other than what suits himself!991.2 GT3

And the saying about all the buses coming along all at once!
Spread it out a bit Porsche - can't really think about affording it until next year so a March announcement is only 12 months too soon!
Don't they realise that some of us have to save and arrange the removal and sale of body parts to afford these cars?

Going by recent sales success and premiums, it looks like body parts are readily available for many people
I think there will be a glut of cars appearing when the new 991.2 GT3 is available, I reckon lots of GT4's and GT3's will be put on the market if their current premiums stay as they are.
Imagine you bought a 991.1 GT3 for £100k and then sold it for £170k at the peak.
Then buy a GT4 for £70k.... and sell it for £105k
Then buy a 991.2 GT3 ..... and sell it for £170k
etc
etc
In between those sales you could have bought a 991 GT3 RS for £140k and sold it for £290k
Worlds gone mad!

That's not the news I was looking for as I was hoping for top dollar for my body parts - only one careful (ish) owner, well maintained (a little too well maintained according to some). Open to offers - sold as seen.
Need to pop on to Wikipedia to work out just how many organs I can live without and still drive. Or maybe I'll ask Siri!
Sorry guys - bored at home getting over flu!

Surely a new 991 GT2 or 991 GT2RS is next on the list before the GT3 991.2? No basis for this other than the model schedule for the 997 and also fact that the 991.1 GT3RS is only just hitting the roads.
The GT2 has always been turbo powered and I think Porsche is 'saving' the announcement of the new GT2 and will introduce it as a 'halo' 911 once the whole 911 range is turbo powered. 991.x GT3 will be NA
991.x GT3 RS will/is NA
992.x GT2 and GT2 RS will be turbo as a halo car for the standard turbo 911 range

Just cant imagine Porsche unveiling two similar cars at the same show !!
could Autocar be wrong ?
what do you all think chaps ?
I think its too soon to the release of the 991 RS.could Autocar be wrong ?

Next year seems about right for the 991.2 GT3.....
911R manual and same power as current GT3 (maybe a smidge less)
New GT3 marketed alongside with more power than current GT3 (maybe use the 4.0) and will be PDK only thus not slower than current GT3 and the GT3 bloodline not going backwards
Just a thought
I've asked my dealer so I can ensure I stay ahead of the queue for the GT3 and they said they'll know once they arrive at Geneva for the motorshow, which may spell out more than what was actually said. They said they'd let me know FROM the show, so here's hoping, I quite fancy a GT3 to compliment the GT4 I haven't even got yet

You've done well there to get a look in.....
Even though I've got a GT4 my dealers said no chance!

Is this the same mag that indicated that the RS was to be a Turbo due to the side intakes in spy shots.991.2 GT3

Still have the same view on Gen 2 GT3, Just can not see how it would fit in the line up.

Interesting that the car does not have the "sculptured rear lights" which are a feature of the 991.2Gassing Station | Porsche General | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
