Simple way to replace broken bonnet release in driver's sill

Couple of posts on this common issue but seems to be some confusion over best approach (some advocate sill removal first) so thought my experience may be helpful.

Order your new switch (£46 plus VAT with discount from OPC).
Check position of four pairs of clips that hold switch in place on your replacement.
Gently slide four flat bladed normal cutlery knives vertically down the side of the old switch where the clips sit and simply lift out.
Remove plug, reattach to new switch and push in to place.
60 secs start to finish
And if I can do it without breaking or damaging anything ....
