Bloody RMS again!!!

Had RMS replaced about 7mths ago buy an independent.
Warrant Direct paid half towards (as they said leak may have started before warranty taken out). Then told me the RMS won't be covered for the rest of the policy.
Had minor service done yesterday (by same independent who did the RMS) and they say there is a slight 'weap' from the RMS again. However they are insisting this isn't a problem and I can leave it for a long while.
I assume they won't replace it free of charge & insisting it's not a problem & not to be worried about it - but I am concerned.
Any advice anyone?

Yes and no I suppose - normally I would expect a repair to last for a decent time, but when it is caused by a design defect rather than a problem with the repair then you may have an argument on your hands, and I can understand the independent garage's point.

After reading through hundreds of RMS posts - it does seem that worst thing which can happen is the clutch being effected (therefore replace when having RMS re-done?) And that the RMS does NOT contribute to engine failure, this is completely seperate apparently.
Warranty runs out in May (W-Direct) they are no longer covering porsche's. Therefoe plan is:
Get RMS done at independent in a month or two, then put into an OPC for an 11.? check (£150) get any (hopfully no) repairs done & take out proper porsche warranty for peace of mind!

!!!!! is this true? Presumably warranty companies will only stop covering cars if they think the risk is too great i.e. the cars are too unreliable???
Perhaps this gives a financial / statistics based insight to the actual breadth of the 996 engine design 'problem' - I always took my usual view that problems reported on internet forums are likely to be somewhat less widespread in reality (people with problems complain more than people without)...

Also checked Warranty Wise - don't cover private porsches
I think therefore, the only real option is to get an 11.? check an an opc and an official porsche warranty (£750)
