Out of Porsche after 10 years
Discussion
So after 10 years of near continuous Porsche ownership I've traded in the Cayenne for a RS4. In the last 2 years I've been the victim of a couple morons and their dislike of Porsches. This last time was just a few weeks ago, so having got off lightly that time, very light and easily hidden paint damage and a new windscreen, I'd had enough.
Initial impressions are the ergonomics of the Porsche are a league above the Audi, I miss the central rev counter and more driver info easily at hand. I'm sure I'll get used to the Audi, but I know I'll miss the Porsche...
Twas a sad day handing over the keys and knowing I wasn't going into another Porsche. Hopefully I'll be back in one soon. Also I'm hoping the Audi is less of a target for the numbskulls who live near the girlfriend.

Don't know where your gf lives, but I've had many 911s since the 80's and 4 Cayennes over the last 12 years and never had any vandalism. Commuting into London daily, trips across Europe and plenty of supermarket parking. Maybe you were unlucky, though my son's RX8 was royally keyed twice.
Good luck with the RS4, terrific cars and I made a move to one about 4 years ago after deciding I would end the Porsche relationship. I lasted 12 months before I was back at the OPC chopping the RS4 in for a 997 turbo. Although I wished I had kept the RS4 as they have held their value rather well.
