Yep, got a set on my 993. They are Pirelli 'Snow Sport' tyres, ZR rated. They work very well at cold temperatures and have a deep tread.
I drove to Verbier on them around new year, unfortunately at Porsche widths they're still not up to the job of hard packed snow on top of ice: you'll still need chains for proper safety on that. But hell, I made it without damage and it was an exciting drive!
For UK use, they feel much grippier when the outside temp is 6 deg C or less. I haven't really noticed the 'greasy / icy / dirty' slippiness normally associated with UK winter roads.
Got mine from Elite Garages in Horsham. The fitters did a very good job, no scratched rims or air guns![](http://www.pistonheads.com/include/images/smile.gif)
