PASM question.

Two identical Porsche cars, one fitted with PASM turned off, the other with no PASM fitted.

They both set off down a bumpy B-road.

Which car will have the more comfortable, softer ride?

PASM is never really 'off'. It's always adapting to the conditions. With PASM in the normal setting it would be softer/more comfortable than the Non PASM car. Non PASM suspension is between the normal and sport settings.

As above, the PASM car.

A non PASM car will be about '7' on a 0-10 scale of stiffness (10 being stiffest). A PASM car in default 'off' setting will try to give you '0' (softest) but will stiffen to about '7' depending on your input (chucking it round corners etc.). With PASM 'on', it's trying to give you '10' but will soften to '7' depending on what's going on under foot...

In a 981, the PASM car. Almost bought a standard one, which was softer than my TTS admittedly (with mag ride in "comfort"), but happened across a PASM one and would now spec PASM as a top option.
