CS pack extinguisher and carpet mat trimming.
Discussion
I got around to fitting the CS pack extinguisher into the footwell of my GT4 this evening. Not something I'd considered beforehand but the overmats require trimming to fit around the extinguisher base. That's not a problem but perhaps not the neatest solution.
I'm wondering whether Porsche supply mats which are properly trimmed to fit? I'm sure they used to for 996/997?

All it requires is 2 slits in the mat for the extinguisher bracket. No trimming necessary. I'm wondering whether Porsche supply mats which are properly trimmed to fit? I'm sure they used to for 996/997?

I must have a different bracket - my mats *just* fit under the extinguisher
edit: if I'd had read the orig post fully, instead of just looking at the pictures, I would have realised it was a GT4 - mines a GT3 - maybe a different bracket / mounting points
It's even worse than that David...you also didn't spot that wobbly gear stick thing in the photo! edit: if I'd had read the orig post fully, instead of just looking at the pictures, I would have realised it was a GT4 - mines a GT3 - maybe a different bracket / mounting points

M33ufo, just bear in mind that a decent carpet shop will be able to finish a Porsche mat off for you should you need to cut more off. I got a Porsche mat trimmed for 996 GT3 fire extinguisher so that it would sit around the extinguisher and still protect the fitted carpet. It looks like it was OEM and only cost £5-10 (I do not remember how much now).

Would prefer this type of mount I think as once passenger is there would be more leg/foot room?
