For London traffic - the auto every time

You need more options Molly, you can't lump a CVT into the same group as PDK-S alongside the tiptronic or sportmatic.

For the record, I love my manual gearbox but I would hate a manual gearbox in the wifes BMW X3. That has an 8 speed auto and it's great!

OK, I get that but tiptronic and PDK-S are completely different even within the realms of the auto gearbox. I would hazard a guess that even people who HATE the manual gearbox would choose one over a tiptronic

To answer your question clearly, I would choose manual all day every day but if I had to choose from all the auto gearboxes I would choose PDK-S all day every day.
