Very nice now that i do like did Aircon get in the way .What improvement has it made and is it noticable?

Just realized 1.2 bar! Admiring rather than reading!
What make is it really makes the enginebay.

I had to customise the intake manifold by rotating the throttle body to face the rear of the car rather than the front, as in a normal 3.2 To get the full core size (which is actually over twice the original) we had to rotate it back again..... Actually it is now vertical. Air con was not a problem. I also had a pre-intercooler air temp. sensor fitted so, combined with the post-intercooler temp. sensor, I can keep an eye on cooling efficiency. Also dropped the frontend another 5mm.

I did not want to go to far with mine but when you look at the picture of yours the intercooler is impressive.

I haven't actually mapped it to 1.2bar yet, as i'll be moving from frequency control to a partial diff. setup for the wastegate control. I've played around with this before but never quite got it right. However, I have new info. which should allow me to get it set within an afternoon.

I wouldn't recommend 1.2bar for a normal T2 as they can't flow enough fuel and will run lean. And that's before you conside head lift. As I'm on Motec and fuel isn't a problem i'll run at 1.2bar. Plus it's off to 9M for a complete rebuild (to 3.4) in the next month or so, so head lift dosen't worry me.

...and back to your question. At 1.2 bar should be around 510bhp

Fantastic..and the great thing is that 500+bhp is through 2wd.

With the turbo I have lag is very much reduced. It is still there, but only really causes problems when you cock-up a quick start and bog down.

The intercooler makes no difference to lag.

After 1bar and cat by-pass I did 175mph. This was also the day that Daz did the now in-fo-masssss 192mph..... (well i was in the car video'ing...)

So I guess, as always, it's down to the wind.

...After 9M has finished with Phase II, I should hit 200+ MPH, and have time to scratch me nuts, now where is VBH....

(i'm sorry, seemed reasonable at the time....)

200MPH get that video going Id love to see that.

V-max was full this time I hope to take my new toy there and see what it can do on the next one. but that will probably be only 150ish I imagine.
