Seeing a couple of other posts reminded me that I hadn't yet put up my photos from when I visited the Revs Institute in Naples, Florida last year.

They display the Collier Collection and is allegedly the biggest collection of racing Porsches outside of the factory. There are some stunning cars in there, I spent all day wandering around.

The Porsche section is only a small area too, it's a massive collection including some seriously rare and impressive stuff. Here are some pics of the Porsche collection:

Edit: dammit, you used to be able to grab the whole album's worth of links on Photobucket, can't seem to do that now, so it's link to the album only, sorry.

No problem.

Here are a few of my favourites from around the museum too:

This BRM is one of the highest mileage race cars ever with over 25,000 miles covered:

Bugatti raced by Chiron, which was reassembled after it was found a few years ago spread across a whole French village - Chiron didn't want the Nazis getting his Bugatti so as the forces were advancing he broke the car up and hid it all over the village. They've even got it running.

Old Alfa (8C?) - just look at it!

Green/tan F1. Just because.

Stunning Carrera GTS:
