No Balance Weights?

I've just put a set of Cup II on my car with brand new AD08R on the front. My regular tyre shop didn't put any weights on the fronts, and when I queried it with them they said they were perfectly balanced. I wasn't there when they fitted the tyres. I do trust them as I've used them for ten years or more and they see me nearly every month, but it still seems very strange. Having driven the car it feels fine, any thoughts?

Had this once years ago (1980ish). Had four new tyres fitted and they never needed any weights either. Got the same reply "They don't need balanced". This was Esso own branded tyres fitted to a Hillman Hunter. Never had any issues all the time they were fitted. Never had it happen since.

Take it up to speed, if all is well, no wobbles at the front felt through the wheel, then at least the fronts are mostly fine.

I was getting tyres fitted to my 964, years ago. I asked the fitter which tyres he rated as best. He said it depends very much on the car, but in terms of quality of manufacturing Michelin no question, as he rarely needed to use balance wights
