996 TT Tiptronic Emergency Run Mode

Hi Guys,

So the TT keeps coming up with said warning message, done a bit of a search on the net can't find anything conclusive.

How does one check the gearbox oil? Also the car was clunking into drive and reverse... Any ideas of cost of repair? Will have it run to garage this week.
