Simply Porsche Beaulieu June 5th, who's going?
Discussion
So TIPEC Simply Porsche event at Beaulieu Sunday the 5th June open to non members, who's going and anyone meeting up for a drive down?
Details:
Porsche only Parking in the estate Parkland. If you arrive in your Porsche. Entry fee also includes, The Museum, Palace House, Gardens and the Abbey. Trade Stands, Show and Shine competition.
Normally an early start for most attending, gates open at 9.30am.
This year we see two Porsche models celebrating production anniversaries, Porsche Boxster is 20 years since launch and Porsche 924 is 40 years young this year.
To highlight this, we are having group parking for the Boxster and 924’s at this years event, so its set to be an impressive turn out.
Simply Porsche is an event for all Porsche Owners not just club members

Hi all,
I'll be coming along to the Porsche day,
Looking forward to seeing you all there, please look out for a Black Gen.2 C2s PDK - Use it as my daily driver it covers 80/100 miles per day and it has not missed a heart beat, we love it.
P.s: its the one with some minor stone chips on the front nose cone :-)

Hi guys
I've not been before, but weather permitting I quite fancy this. However I live in the Midlands so it's quite a trip for me. A couple of questions...
1-Is it any good? What are the number of cars in attendance usually? Is there lots or rare/interesting stuff or is it just loads of 986/987/996/997 (no snobbery...I'm a 986). I looked at a linky to photos on the event website but it's really hard to tell if this is just similar in size to a PH SS and everyone sods off at lunchtime anyway.
2-I won't get there until a bit later due to distances. Will I still be able to park up as part of the event or am I going to get sidelined to some other car park somewhere?
3-I've never visited the Museum, is it a good event in it's own right?
Thanks!

Is anyone planning on heading down from the Midlands and wants to go in convoy? (A5/A43/M40/A34/M3/M27)?
Blimey, surely your going to make a day of it and do some cross country hooning? M this, M that!!! ....... B roads and many and old A roads that are no longer listed as such. Its supposed to be a nice day for a blast on Sunday.
Fair point well made, however, as it's 135 miles door to door for me, and an early start to the event, I just want to get down there as soon as possible and see the cars and the event. I can always "divert" a little on the return trip.
Trust me, I'm not averse to a little diversion. Earlier on in the year I had a business meeting near Cardiff...for some reason I'd arranged it so it finished at 1300, and I'd got almost as far as Bristol before I realised that I'd somehow accidentally left the diesel estate at home and brought the wrong car. And then on the way back the satnav went wrong, and I ended up here. And I got to the end of this road, but I didn't recognise it so I thought I'd better retrace my steps, and then I got to the other end and thought perhaps I did recognise it after all so I'd better go and have another look, and then would you believe it I got lost around the Brecon Beacons. For hours. And I should have taken the diesel after all, as for some unknown reason my MPG in Wales was diabolical...

(To be honest, the A43 is a bit of a laugh with all those roundabouts anyway...)
