Thought it might be of interest for anyone looking for a new toy, there's a good selection in this month's Classic Car Auction

http://angliacarauctions.co.uk/en/classic-auctions...

One 911 SC
Two Carrera 3.2
Two 964
One 993
One 930
One GT2
Two 924
One 928

Pretty much something for anyone and one of the 964s has done 340,000 miles! proof if it was ever needed that old Porsche were built to be used.

Interesting line up - lots of things caught my eye but I was gobsmacked by the estimate for this:

http://angliacarauctions.co.uk/en/classic-auctions...

It's not even a 1.9!

Makes 996T's look cheap!

I wouldn't mind reading the history file on that 964, it would be interesting to say the least and probably a very long read!

There's, what I would call, a lot of 'affordable/nostalgic' stock in that list.

At this time of the year, if the sun is shining, I think there'll be quite a bit of interest from enthusiasts. Come the end of the year, when winter sets in and the market has taken a step back, many may wonder why on eath they bought an 'old' car biggrin

lol that is a crazy estimate but looking through the pictures reminds me of the two 1.9 GTi's that I used to love back in the 80's and 90's.... ah reminiscing but at those prices!!!

Cheers Richie

I imagine the high estimate on the 205 GTI is because at the last ACA auction one sold for 24 grand-
But that was absolutely mint and was a 1.9 in red which looked great.

ACA seem to be getting some much higher end cars these days partly I assume because their sellers commission of only
7% makes all the other auction houses look very greedy.

I went to the last auction there and it's a well run outfit- the only problem is during the actual auction as the cars come on the block you need an oxygen mask because the building is so full of fumes it's like sitting in a car with a hose pipe attached to your exhaust- they really need to invest in a ventilation system......

Definitely worth a trip though- you can view all the cars paperwork on the day of the auction- parking is a nightmare however- there is a hotel carpark just over the road which is often a good bet because the roads next to the auction house are always rammed.
