I was involved in a minor car accident not too long ago. My insurance company (Lancaster Insurance) has put a local repair garage in touch with me. The name of the garage is DD Autos. (They're in Wembley)

DD Autos are an insurance approved garage. (obviously) However, I am wondering if there is such a thing as a Porsche approved repair garage. I'm not sure but I think there is one in Luton.

If so, and am I am able to insist to my insurance company that I want the car repaired by a Porsche approved repair garage?

The damage is limited to the front bumper and the badge panel. The car is a 944. I'm pretty sure there is no mechanical damage but will have that confirmed by a mechanic in the next week or so.

Thanks in advance.

IIRC, the approval process is merely "Are you willing to work to our schedule of rates", nothing more.

Wouldn't care if it was my Nissan, but I would only take my Porker to an OPC.

If I were you, I would have a chat with Jazweb in wembley who use a local bodyshop that specialise in all things porsche.
I have used them, and they are specialists, and are very proud of their work.

Good luck.

Used Premier in Luton for a repair on my wifes VW - very happy with the results and the quality of service and very much cheaper than the VW dealer quote.

Planning to take my 996 there at some point this year to have some cosmetics sorted.
