DIY fitting valve saver/flashlube to LPG Cayenne?
Discussion
Hi folks, I have bought a Cayenne S which had LPG fitted in 2008 and 60k miles ago, no lube kit fitted though and as far as I can tell it has never had one...(discuss!)
Any road, it is on 120k miles, runs super well on both gas and petrol, has loads of power, starts great..and it was cheap, so I took a chance. If the valves don't let go, the bores might, and if not the bores the gearbox might go first.. :-)
I am not going to put a big mileage on it, but I would feel psychologically happier at least if I fitted some kind of valve saver oil delivery system, like JLM or flashlube - one of the simple non electronic ones. Horse-bolted-stable-door possibly, but hey, the kits are 30 quid.
So I am looking for guidance on how to go about fitting this, mainly how and where I am attaching the lube feed to the manifold etc., do I need one central feed or one per cylinder, stupid questions like that... can anyone help?
