Found myself stuck in France. Enough electrics to unlock the car and for dash and radio to work but car not starting and electrics went mad when trying. Had been faultless at last use and nothing left on to drain the battery. From going dead it needed to be bump started every time which was a bit of a pain!

Got to a Peugeot garage who have put in a battery. It has worked without issues since.

On further checking I've found the replacement battery is 75ah not 80ah like the original. It is 380a like the original though.

So the question is for those with some better battery knowledge, will this be an issue for use of the car?

I'm already thinking about getting another which is oem spec.

Get a nice Bosch S5 or similar if it bothers you.

It should be fine unless your car is specced with a number of 'high drain' options. Heated seats, etc.

The difference between 75AH and 80AH is minimal.

The cold cranking ability CCA is more important.

It will be fine.
