Porsche Cayenne, diff lock, locked in place cant get out of

Hi ppl,

Post for my uncles problem with his 2004 Cayenne 4.5 litre petrol model.

The off road diff lock mode has been activated by someone looking at buying the car and its stayed in it and wont come out of it.

Gather because its never been used much, i know hes owned it 6 years and never activated whist hes owned it, its maybe seized in place ???

Anyhow just wondered if any body had any ideas about it ?

Certainly with manualy engaged diff locks they can be difficult to get out if they suffer wind up, the normal way is to reverse a fair bit.

Try reversing down the road then put into neutral while moving...

Jack up one end of the car.

It's in the cars computer menu, you scroll through until you reach LOCKS then dissable. Happened to me.
