No USB on 2013 Cayenne GTS?!?!

I've just bought a lovely MY14 Cayenne GTS, been driving around all night listening to the V8 rumble away!

I've had my iPhone hooked up via Bluetooth streaming tunes no problem but as I have an 80gb iPod classic with all my library on it I thought once I got home I'd hook it up.

To my horror, I cannot for the life of me find the USB port?!?!

Manual says in the cubby in the centre, nothing there bar 12v outlet, I check the glove, nothing there but air bag switch?

Any ideas?

I can't believe a near £90k car less than 3 years old doesn't have a USB port??

I might be wrong , but that only comes with PCM.

It's a long time since I had my 911 so I'm a bit out of the loop with all things Porsche.

In the manual I have a PCM leaflet which states that the USB and AUX is situated in the centre cubby on a Cayenne but there is nothing there?

The stereo is Bose, Bluetooth streaming via my iPhone is fine (under media and source) and I think it has Jukebox?

It was a cost option on top of PCM3, at least until the 958.2 when it might have become standard. Bizarre, I know, but I certainly had to spec it on my 2014 Cayenne. It's called the universal audio interface, cost about £200 if I remember correctly.

In the 991 it's in the glove compartment, right hand side, tucked under the shelf... Sounds like you've looked there though! ..on a side note, we're looking at the Cayenne Diesel V8.. do you know how the 2 compare?

Never mind, I'll have to stick everything on my Phone and stream via bluetooth.

The V8 is sublime, the ways it pulls is astonishing, and I've just sold an M4!

It is in the Tequipment catalogue as a retrofit... For you sir, £462.59 without PCM or £641.72 with...

Sure a lot of that is labour so you might get a deal from your OPC.

But probably better to buy a new iPhone with a bigger storage!!

It's shocking, especially as most cheaper older cars come with it as standard, but that's Porsche for you!

Is there some sort of device I can attach the the 3.5mm headphone jack on my iPod Classic that will send the audio to the PCM?

Not ideal as I will have to select the music on the iPod and not the PCM but at least will allow me to have all my music with me all the time.

Thats astonishing, I hired a 2 year old Ford Transit the a couple of weeks ago for some jobs I needed to do and there in the middle of the dash on a van was a USB port. I'd imagine its as standard as a 12v port on most new cars these days.

Bad form from Porsche to charge for it.

That would work but I couldn't power the iPod from the 12v supply as well, thanks though!
