Still trying to work out if I want Connect + in the 718.

Now I understand if you dont spec nav, then the basic Connect gives you Apple Car Play etc.

I dont use Apple, and want Nav, so the question is, do I want Connect Plus? The most retarded aspect is it doesnt use your phone's data (as I understand it), nor does it have its own data like BMW, but I have to get ANOTHER phone contract with data and stick the SIM in.

Have I got this right. Oh and it's 800 quid.

Can anyone who has Connect + shed more light?

You can tether the PCM to your phone using the WiFi hotspot; the main issue is the data limit on your phone gets a pasting.

A standalone data SIM is just more convenient

Just cant be arsed getting another SIM contract on top of a subscription to Porsche (not sure if I have to have to keep this going, or what I lose without it) on top of 800 quid, which of course is on top of a grand for Nav...
