Makes me want to go and drive my last 3.2 Carrera back home.

Trouble is it ended up in Australia!

Makes our very recent 2400 mile jaunt through 6 contries all seem very tame!

Enjoyed that too, shame it ended half way through his journey back and part 2 is only about fixing the engine back in the UK; would like to have seen a conclusion to the journey.

Did anyone else watch this and think - time to trade in the water cooled for a bit of air cool?

nope.....it would take more than a neat you tube vid to convince me to want to stop every 20 minutes to fix my car. If I was to do that i'd go the whole hog and buy a TVR.....hehe

Enjoyed the video, looked at pre 89 air-cooleds on the classifieds and laughed at the prices, nothing under 40k that i would even consider at half the price.

Imagine trying to explain to someone who doesn't love porsche that you just paid £50k for a 1988 3.2 Carrera...laughlaughlaughlaugh would be their reaction i imagine.

Look forward to his next film about his Africa trip though.

Been there, done that. Not for me.

Nice watch though, I enjoyed that!

Loved the 964 my brother owned, have some great memories of driving that.

Drove a 1989 SC a few years back - sensory overload!

Love my modern 997.1 GT3 more than both though. Strikes the perfect balance between old and new in my opinion.

Then please try and convince me that trading in my 996 for a 964 is a really stupid idea!!

I should add - I've never driven an air cooled 911 but they seem so much more raw.
