Sagaris to GT4

Sold my 4.5 Sagaris for a 997 gts, the reviews the gt4 has got, I don't think you will be disappointed,I know I wasn't with my gts. Porsche in general are in a different league with build quality and claimed power to TVR. Do not get me wrong I loved my years in a T V R, but this gts car is fantastic.

You should try one OP. I didn't regret for one instant my move from TVR to Porsche. It was a 996 gt3 not a GT4. But it made me realise that there are two parts of rawness in the tvr. The great part and the s
t part!
The Porsche was just head and shoulders better for me.
But it's a personal thing. Get a drive in one!

Rocco - if you are looking for something a bit more "raw" than a GT4, how about a 997 GT3?
Difficulty is getting a drive in either a GT3 or GT4 if you've not sampled them before, but maybe try to find a dealer which has both for sale (JZM springs to mind?) and have a look around. A 996 GT3 would be more raw than either, depends what you are looking for really.

I have a GT4 an my bother has a Sag. They are night and day, the Sag is a much more raw experience but that rawness is in part due to build quality.
You'll notice that the GT4 is as quick, handles better and is obviously much better built but to me the GT4 is much more of an ever day car, good as it is.
The GT4 does feel special but as someone said above, if you want a raw Porsche experience go for a 997 or perhaps even better, a 996 GT3 gen 2. There are loads to choose from at the moment, many are comfort cars but if you can find a bucket seat car, CS or not then that could suit you better in my opinion.
Go and drive then all, its the only way you'll know.

2 people at Cambridge OPC were test driving 2 different cars last time I was there. I shouldn't think it would be an issue if you're genuinely interested in the car.At the end of the day they want to sell cars.

I just sold my Sag and have a GT4.. they are very different cars! I bought the Sag a year ago having had plenty of TVRs back in the day. I actually bought it as I didn't think I was going to get the GT4, then I got an allocation.
The GT4 is so different to the Sag as to be almost incomparable. The Sag is noisy, small, and needs constant love to function properly, when set up is brilliant in the handling department but is really a 15-20 yr old car. Sag has tons of character which is great but there are days when you don't want that much character and it becomes wearing.
GT4 is German, very capable and goes well, it has modern driver aids but I have had the back go on a slip road on diesel(wasn't really going for it) so you still have to drive properly. It has higher limits on the road which means you are well within them most of the time.
They are both great cars, however it says alot I sold the Sag and kept the GT4, This si to the extent I think I'll be offered GT3 with manual but I may well stick with the GT4.
I know that doesn't answer the question but the question is abit like: do you prefer a Sunday roast or Pizza both great but very different and the mood will dictate...
