997.1 TT Sport Button and Exhaust

Hello All

Apologies if this has been covered but I have tried searching and have read through countless threads on the 997 TT, sport mode etc and still can't find the answer

When I engage sport mode on my 997.1 TT, the exhaust (at idle) definitely changes note. Becomes louder and a bit deeper. Is this normal ? As far as Im aware my car definitely didn't even have PSE available as an option, and the lack of a PSE button further supports this.

Mine is the same

You won't find a PSE button as it didn't exist on either 996 or 997 turbos

Ah so the exhaust does change note when sport is engaged, despite not having PSE.
