40000 mile series 2

Hey folks,
Im looking at my first 997 over here in Oz where cars are double the price but no matter, its only money!
I have my eye on this c2S
Ive seen the car and its the dogs danglies to look at, very good condition, full leather and a factory aero kit.

My question is pretty simple really, is 40000 odd miles or 71000km too much? Even with a Porsche warranty and a good service history, am I going to be seeing big bills?
Crystal ball stuff I know but given the number of owners here, Im hoping comments will help.

If it's a 997.2 then you have the DFI engine, rather than the less reliable 997.1 engine. I'd have no issue buying one of these if it's been properly maintained.

Worth checking the rev ranges to get an idea of how hard a life it's had and checking the service history and what else has been done.

The GT3 look is a personal taste.

Yes, when I saw the GT3 kitnin the photo I though, very Halforrds but in the flesh Inreally like it.
The car has a full Porsche history, 12 month Porsche warranty and 2 over revs logged, 1 low and 1mid range, both apparently over 50 hours ago so the dealer says no issue there.

If i recall correctly, there are six over rev ranges, any in ranges 1 and 2 are normally okay, but anything in 3 upwards needs Porsche themselves to confirm if its okay and not compromising the warranty. I'd be getting the exact details on those over-rev ranges and finding out what the dealer hasn't told you this far. 50 hours is not long ago (maybe 2,500 miles) so is someone trying to sell the car because they know it over-rev'ed?

My Gen 2 C2 has c. 76K miles on it and runs great, yes things fail but all things considered, nothing out of the ordinary, i.e. brakes etc. I would get an independent thorough inspection to make sure there are no "surprises" coming towards you though and not just take the dealers word for it. While the Porsche warranty is very good (Im assuming its an original Porsche warranty and not being provided by someone else) it doesn't cover absolutely everything.

Yes, great help so far.
No word from the dealer re. clutch and brake wear yet.
I may well look for an independant inspection
As I understand clutches are good for 50k, is that about right, depending on the driver of course.
Whats the brake life?
