Had a great day at knockhill race track this weekend watching the Carrera cup and BTCC ....on my way home I was attacked by a flying VW wheel trim from the opposite carriageway, ...WTF!!! got the guilty car captured on dash cam but it's to far away to make out number plate however it was a women driver lol
Going to body shop tomorrow can't believe the damage it caused need a new bumper and bonnet needs a re-spray luckily no dents but still an expensive day out.....rolleyes

Bad luck bet you jumped and ducked as it hit.

Could have been worse, if it was the windscreen and roof.

Great shots BTW.

Doesn't help, but I doubt that was the 'guilty' car as it's a VW wheel trim and that is a Nissan Qashqai. The Nissan probably just drove over it after it fell off another car.

You must have better eyes than me - or a better computer - the car is too far ahead for me to identify.

The wheel trim could not have come of the white car (agree it looks like a Nissan) opposite as it seemed to travel faster than the car it supposedly came off from which is hardly possible... probably one car before that, check your vid maybe!?

Wow that's so unlucky, and the damage is just unreal.

I agree I don't thick it came from the white car, if it had just spun off I doubt its velocity would have made it out run the car.

When I lived in Delhi a guy got decapitated when one flew off a truck. Big heavy metal one, took his head and one shoulder clean off.

Still got my head and defo made me jump, I think if it had been the windscreen it would of come through and woken my wife up.
Added two more pics red VW with wheel trim off, on the vid you can see it flying off the car oh and a picture of the cable tie after impact. As some have said it could of been a whole lot worse.......

Had something similar where the car in front went over one in the road, made zero effort to avoid. Landed on the bonnet and then into the screen with a massive bang.

Few scratches on the bonnet but no damage to the glass, this happened to a 10 year old audi, hate to think of what it would have done to the porker which has very weak paint in comparison.
