OP, I've seen pics of your car previously (did you only recently buy it?)

Lovely colour. When I was about 7, our next door neighbour got a new 911 in the then very much in vogue shade of metallic brown and I loved it. Still do. This must be an incredibly rare finish on a 997.

It is a really classy colour.

3 years ago I nearly bought a 08 plate manual 997 turbo with ceramics and really low miles for £50k, I kinda regret not going for it now!

Thats a lovely car in a very underrated colour I think.
Opticoat is on my list of pressies when I get my 997.

N thanks all re comments on the colour. I didn't like the sound of it initially but once I saw it in the flesh I was sold, plus I haven't seen any others yet in the same colour.

Dave, yes I certainly see a difference. Dirt washes off much easier, and water beads right off when washing. To give you an idea, below is a picture of my black Range Rover, 5 months after being Opticoated. Washing using the right method is still required tho to avoid swirl marks. All Ive ever done is a basic wash after the coat about once a week/fortnight, although I only wash myself and don't let anyone with a broom near it.
