Imo carmine looks great in photos and in bright sunshine! Was going to go for the colour on my gt4 but changed my mind after seeing it on a 911!

Funny, it was a 991 GTS I saw in the flesh at my local OPC that made me love the colour. The photos tend to make it look too bright. I like the dark, 'Alfa' blood red.

It does look stunning in the photos and pretty good in the flesh. I chose guards because that (IMO) looks every bit as good and the money I saved went on other things.

I like the fact that it's expensive, makes it a lot more rare.

It's a lovely colour, I get lots of comments on it on my 981 BGTS, it's more like a Ferrari red, whereas guards is more like fiesta red

It's a lovely colour in bright sunlight. But the lack of metallic means it flattens the contours, and the 911 and Cayman I've seen in Carmine makes them look like they've 'melted'. A Carmine GT4 passed me earlier this week in grey overcast conditions, and truth be told... Carmine looked dull and flat.

People get an erection about maritime and other PTS blues that, to me, look really ordinary in bad light.

So for me, that wouldn't put me off - carmine looks great to me - really special, and more interesting than guards red for sure. The fact it looks better when clean and in good light is surely true for any colour.

My guards red GT4 really pops in fading light at dusk while carmine looks dull under the same conditions,carmine needs California sunshine to look good and definitely does not suit Motorsport Porsches.Has anybody ever seen a carmine red GT3 or GT3 RS?.................thought not
