Chances of finding a 986 roof rack (rts) nowadays ?

All - considering selling my DD Jag and using my old Boxster as my only car. Its good on fuel, comfy, easy to drive, why not...

My only problem is a do a lot of mountain biking. I can (and have) used boot mounted racks on sports cars in the past, it works but its a bit of a pain.


If I could get hold of the fabled Boxster roof rack that would solve it. I've never seen one for sale, anywhere. I wouldn't really know where to look other than ebay. I susepect they might be criminally expensive too.
Any ideas?

I'm tempted to buy a 986 just for this. Have you ever used it with the roof down?

Ha ha - expensive way to get a roof Rack!

Never used it with the roof down. Mainly because you need to remove the RTS to raise or lower the roof. Once the RTS is in place, that’s where the roof stays.
