GT4 Harness fitment?
Discussion
Hi there. Yes the belts can be fed back through the seat backs to hang behind the seat out of the way when not in use, and the lap belts can be moved out of the way. If you lift the seat cushion up from the chair (it's attached by velcro) you can feed the buckle back through the cusion and through the central hole in the seat out of the way.

OK, so I had the OPC fit the harnesses. They have transformed the car, feels so much more connected. Happy days. Although I cannot seem to easily store one of the belts (the lap harness that protrudes from the transmission tunnel side), the others easily tuck away, which is fine.
However......I drove out of the OPC and the seatbelt "bonger" kept going off along with the warning light on the dash....I returned to the OPC but they for safety/litigatory/etc etc reasons they informed me they cannot turn off the warning sound.
I may have to get a cut off buckle and keep it in the glove box?!
Has anyone else experienced a work around with this??

I use a harness in the Megane for track days and I simply fit a dummy buckle to stop bongs. I wouldn't use it on the road though for a variety of reasons:
- I don't find it crucial for road use.
- It might affect passive safety, ie how the airbags do their thing (to be checked)
- If you flip the car then there is an added risk of spinal injury as the harness will mean your head takes the brunt of the roof caving in on you. You can't "duck" as you would with the normal belt (unless you have a roll cage?). Bizarrely this is a risk I accept on track but not for high road mileage.

The bonging noise does go off after a short while. Doesn't bother me as I only use the harness on track, but I can imagine it being annoying if you always use the harness .However......I drove out of the OPC and the seatbelt "bonger" kept going off along with the warning light on the dash....I returned to the OPC but they for safety/litigatory/etc etc reasons they informed me they cannot turn off the warning sound.
