The GT4CS is a fantastic machine. Have raced both the Aston and the Cayman at the Ring. They are night and day. In the Aston you feel all the undulations. In the CS you wonder when they renovated the track. It's a massively fast and composed machine

That is a great article. I am a big fan of the GT4 concept, having been part of a team that ran a Lotus 2-11 in British GT4 a few years ago.

Not surprised by the comments on the Ginetta, and a friend of mine helped run one for 24 hours at Barcelona a few months ago and it never missed a beat so they can do the distance as well as the Aston! That said, I actually don't think that the G50 and G55 should ever have been allowed in GT4 - not really road based cars are they? And yes I know that 1 G50 was built for the road!

The McLaren is a sledgehammer to crack a nut.

I'm intrigued by the comments about the Aston compared to the Cayman, above. Is that just a case of better dampers in the Cayman? Subjectively I'd have thought that the Cayman was more edgy than the Aston .

Either way, I'm delighted that Porsche have now developed the Cayman for GT4.

Shared track space with many Cayman CS's in the 997 Cup this year. They look a beautifully prepared car but I found their pace a little dissapointing.

Agree that the Ginetta shouldn't be really be allowed...hardly keeping to the spirit of production based racing.

I'm very confused about the Ginetta in general, as i hear conflicting feedback on their reliability. It's fair to say the Aston is a solid choice though; with so many years racing it must be nice to think you could do pretty much any length race and know it will last.
