Hi, can anyone tell me do they use an aluminium paste of their wheel bolts or not? I've looked in the handbook and it says you should but getting hold of some is also a challenge! Anyone got any advice as to whether I actually need any or not? Cheers.

No problem finding the stuff. Tube this size will last you a lifetime.

Yes I use a smear on wheel nuts, but I run a 928 on which I do a lot of work, so there are plenty of other applications on the car to justify having a tube.

Yes I use it on my car...using a small brush put a smear on the threads and between the bolt head and its spinning washer, make sure all surfaces have a liberal coat then torque to the specified figure.

I found a nice cheap source for this stuff. I got a tin from here years back and despite having been used many times it's still 2/3 full.
